HUNTSVILLE, AL – 08/01/2025)– Huntsville Partners and Associates (Huntsville Housing Authority) is proud to announce the receipt of a $25,000 grant from Truist Bank to continue supporting the Childcare Development Scholars program, an award-winning initiative aimed at preparing residents for careers in early childhood education.
This generous contribution from Truist marks a continued partnership between the bank and Huntsville Partners and Associates. A previous $10,000 grant from Truist helped fund Summer Youth Employment opportunities and Homeownership support programs, both of which contributed to advancing economic mobility among HHA residents.
The Childcare Development Scholars program has empowered dozens of residents with the training, certification, and professional development needed to thrive in the childcare industry. With this new funding, the program will expand its reach and impact, offering even more participants a pathway toward meaningful careers that serve both families and the greater community.
“Truist’s commitment to building stronger communities aligns with our mission to provide access to opportunity for the residents we serve,” said Antonio McGinnis, Executive Director of Huntsville Housing Authority. “We’re grateful for their continued investment in programs that build career pathways and help residents gain financial independence.”
The Truist Foundation, which oversees the bank’s philanthropic initiatives, focuses on supporting programs that create economic mobility and strengthen small businesses. This grant underscores their dedication to initiatives that address critical workforce needs and long-term community development.
